  Controlled Burns Procedure 

Only agriculture products can be burned and only when the following have been met: 

• Contact the Combined Communication Center at (702) 229-0291 and let them know of the control burn, address, and time of the burn. 
• Wind < 10MPH during the duration of burn
• Control Burn supervised during the whole duration of the burn.
• Hose or water supply readily available at the location of the control burn. 
• In an open field away from structures and other combustible materials. 
• During the daytime hours. Under no circumstances shall a control burn be conducted from dusk to dawn. 

*Control burns do not include small fires for recreational, educational, ceremonial, cooking purposes and warmth of human beings, including barbeques and outdoor fireplaces provided they do not create a public nuisance as per CC 42.1.2.
